FAQS
If you own your own home, have closed on the property and are thinking about making changes to the outside likely it is a good time to start planning. If you would like to learn more and find out if it is the right time for you, schedule a discovery call.
Earlier in the project is better. When you have blueprints, and the structure is partially installed it is a great time to start the landscape planning process. If you begin the planning process early, you can avoid expensive irrigation and sod rework. Clients who start the planning process at the completion of the construction process may end up paying for things such as irrigation and sod work a second time after they decide what they want to do with their landscape.
There is no time like the present! Keep in mind the spring planning and planting time is always very busy for both designers and installers. Also, if you are hoping to get your project completed at a certain time, budget at least a few months in advance for planning, estimation and lead time. This will allow you plenty of time for you to finalize your vision, choose materials and a contractor.

Absolutely! We can provide you with a master plan and any needed consultation services to help you realize your landscape dreams.
If you need ideas for an entire area like the front of a house, or all around your home it would be best to utilize the design services. This will give you a physical plan to work with which is easy to understand and implement on larger areas. If you need help with general direction, ideas for future planning, help with identification and maintenance questions, or suggestions for occasional planting the consultation will likely be a good fit or a good start.
The short answer is maybe.
It is important to have a plot plan/survey if you are looking to have a full master plan done of your yard. This insures the critical layout and measurements of the yard (base for the landscape plan) are correct. If you have a large property, a plot plan/survey may be required for the design process. For designs around a pool, pool plans are extremely helpful to make sure the shape and layout can be replicated if the pool is not included on your plot plan. If there is only a small area to be designed, it is less critical because the measurements are fewer and take less time to obtain.
